Where can I go for help?
Texas A&M University provides a number of resources to assist you in meeting your academic goals. The following are a few that you may find most helpful:
- The Academic Success Center (ASC) provides free academic coaching, academic workshops, tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, Transfer Student Programs and Resources, and Developmental Education. Go to http://successcenter.tamu.edu/Home for more information. The ASC is located in Rudder Tower on the 9th and 10th floors.
- The University Writing Center (UWC) provides one-on-one help with students’ writing or public speaking projects. The UWC is located in Evans Library on the 2nd floor and in the West Campus Library on the 2nd floor. Check the website http://writingcenter.tamu.edu/ for more information or to make an appointment.
- Student Counseling Services (SCS) provides a number of important services including personal and career counseling, academic skills enhancement, testing, outreach programming, psychiatric services, consultation, and crisis intervention. The SCS is located at the Student Services at the White Creek complex on West Campus. Go to http://scs.tamu.edu/ for more information or to make an appointment.
- Disability Services advocates for students with disabilities by providing accommodation counseling, adaptive technology techniques, sign language interpreters, and many other services.
