As a Mexican-American family, we tend to just get together and eat everything we can. My family doesn’t really have traditions, but we do enjoy seeing the family for this holiday. We also make a turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, etc., but we have added our own mix to this American tradition. We make homemade tamales and tortilla’s de harina! It can vary from a few 30 of each, to over a hundred!

Most people tend to just go mainly for the food, but I am very thankful to be able to see my family. Thanksgiving wouldn’t be the same without my grandmother’s food and her love. I have a huge family, so just having them around is all I need. The food is a plus!

What tradition do you have? What is your favorite food to have?!
