We recognize that every transfer students' experience is different, however, we know that many transfers face some of the same challenges as they transition into the university. This blog was created for transfers by transfers to share TIPS and insight on having the best semester you can at Texas A&M University.

Money is no object when it comes to traveling. I know, I know, you are probably screaming at your computer screen right now saying things like “how the heck am I supposed to get the money to travel?!” I get it, we are all college students. We are broke. We live off of ramen and what scraps we can find in the dumpsters behind Northgate but hear me out. You only live once. Yes, “YOLO” is cliché but its soooo true.
I’d rather go in debt now traveling then miss out on the opportunity. We are in a great position to use our debt to travel. Those of us who get financial aid and student loans sometimes are left with a big chunk of change that we can either put towards paying back that loan, using it to live off of, or what I do, spend it on plane tickets to travel the world. Why not do this? If you are getting loans you are already going to be in debt anyways so why not go in debt for fun reasons? Like I get it, debt sucks, I know. I’m still paying back a $2,000 trip I put on my credit card from a year ago but hey, it was definitely worth it!
